Health Insurance

Taglit-Birthright Israel requires that all trip participants and staff be covered with traveler’s health insurance that covers you while you are in Israel. As part of your application you will be required to submit the name and contact information of your travel insurance company and your policy number. If you do not have traveler’s health insurance coverage (that covers pre-existing conditions, and medical emergencies and incidents overseas) please be sure to purchase a plan as soon as you are confirmed on a trip or you will not be allowed to travel. If you have health insurance that covers you overseas it is essential that you also purchase travel insurance as soon as you are confirmed on a trip. This will ensure sure that any medical expenses, flight cancellation/interruption, baggage loss/damage, and much more will be covered. Your current health/homeowners/credit card insurance often does not cover the many potential issues that can occur on a trip. Be sure to protect yourself as these are issues that occur often. It is a small investment for big savings.
