Winter Packing List

Winter weather in Israel:
Winter weather can fluctuate. Some winters are mild and sunny, some severe and overcast. Rain can be expected and rarely even snow. It will probably be in the 50º's or 60º's in most places, but in the forties in Jerusalem and the Galilee hills and a little colder at night.

For the current Israeli forecast click here.

Expect several days of outdoor activities, a few evenings out on the town and one night of camping. You will also spend time inside museums, archeological sites and at shopping areas. Bring clothing that you can wear in layers.

Although some of the hotels may offer laundry services it is very inconvenient. Try and pack enough clothing for ten days.

The following is a suggested packing list. A good hint: If you can't lift it yourself, then you've got too much stuff in your bag. Remember, it will only get heavier once you buy gifts and souvenirs! Try to use luggage with wheels.
