| Most Taglit-Birthright Israel:
MAYANOT participants on departures
from the United States have the option
of extending their ticket to remain
in Israel beyond the program (in rare
situations participants will be booked
on charter flights and will not have
the option to extend their ticket).
The following are the costs and instructions
for arranging your extension. The information
below is subject to change without notice
at the discretion of the respective
airline. Mayanot is not liable for any

El
Al Flights
You can extend your El Al ticket
for up to 90 days from your departure
from the US. There are 2 extension
options available:
a) Highly Recommended
- You can extend your ticket
in advance for a fee of $150
if there is availability in
the same class of service otherwise
it will cost $250.00 or $350.00
subject to availability to the
class of service. Extensions
in advance of your trip should
be booked online as soon after
you are confirmed on a trip
as possible (availability will
become more limited every day)
through the Gil Travel Agency
at http://www.giltravel.com/extensionsinfo.htm.
b) NOT Recommended
– You can extend your
ticket in Israel through El
Al directly, subject to availability,
at a cost of $75.00, $175.00
or $275.00. Please note that
at this point availability will
be very limited if at all. You
are therefore strongly encouraged
to arrange your extension in
advance as per option A above.

Please
note that because of Israir's
discontinued service to the
United States (beginning September)
flight extensions are currently
no longer available. If you
have already booked an extension
then it will be honored.
Israir
Flights
You can extend your Israir ticket
for up to 90 days from your
departure from the US. There
are 2 extension options available:
a) HIGHLY Recommended
– You can extend your
ticket in advance for a fee
of $75. To arrange your extension,
please complete the Request
for Extension Form (MS
Doc) and email it directly
to BRIextensions@israirusa.com.
They should respond to your
request within 72 business hours.
b) NOT Recommended
- You can extend your ticket
in Israel through Israir directly,
subject to availability, at
a cost of $250. Please note
that at this point availability
will be very limited if at all.
You are therefore strongly encouraged
to arrange your extension in
advance as per option A above.
To extend you ticket while in
Israel please contact Revital
or Gilad at the Israir office
in Tel Aviv by calling 03-795-4038.
Their office is open daily from
8:30 AM to 7:00 PM Israel time
and closes early on Fridays.
Important Notes:
Please note that every effort
will be made to confirm one
of your requested dates. Israir
does not have daily flights
therefore you should view the
flight schedule in their website,
www.israirairlines.com for the
dates of your request. They
will try to confirm your request
in the order that you have noted
on the extension application.
If none of your requested dates
are available, you will be informed
by email. Once one of your requested
extension dates has been confirmed
you will be charged automatically
$75 USD from your credit card.
If you change your mind and
decide not to take this return
date, your new return flight
will be subject to availability
and you will be charged an additional
$50 USD for this change.
Israir agents will not be able
to assist you in obtaining flight
insurance, domestic travel or
stopovers in other countries.
All return flights must be direct
from Tel Aviv. Stopovers and
connecting flights are not permitted
on your Taglit-Birthright Israel
ticket. |

Canada Flights (for USA participants)
You can extend your Air Canada
ticket for up to 90 days from
your departure from the US. There
are 2 extension options available:
a) Highly Recommended
- You can extend your ticket
in advance for a fee of $175.

on a trip as possible (availability
