MAYANOT participants plant trees in
Israel. |

MAYANOT participants spend time on their
trip cleaning up specific sites in Israel. |

Participants are encouraged to use non-disposable
water bottles or to re-use their disposable
ones. |

For those that prefer disposable bottles,
all plastic water bottles are collected
daily and recycled. |

Wherever possible, all materials (i.e.
boxed lunches) are made from recyclable
materials. |

When appropriate, participants will
walk to their destination and not travel
by bus. |

MAYANOT’s educational program
includes Jewish sources that stress
preserving the environment and practical
suggestions for doing so.
