Fully-Refundable Deposit
A $250 fully-refundable deposit, plus a $10 (non-refundable) handling fee is required to be paid to Taglit Birthright Israel by every applicant. Deposits are returned shortly after your trip finishes. There is no commitment by giving a deposit. If need be, you can cancel before the deadline and receive your $250 deposit back in full.
How to pay your deposit: You will be asked to submit the fully-refundable deposit in section 7 of the Taglit-Birthright Israel application. Please be sure to submit it at the same time that you submit your online application or very shortly thereafter. This will help ensure that you are not placed on a waiting list. If you completed your application but still need to pay your deposit click here and go into your Birthright application, then submit your deposit.
Should you need to cancel, please be sure to do so in writing before the cancellation deadlines which are listed below and your deposit will be returned in full.

Please note: If your application is still marked as “pending”, the cancellation deadlines below do not apply to you. If you have not yet been offered a trip, you will not lose your deposit after these dates.

Once you are offered and accept a trip, if you decide to cancel, all cancellations must be in writing and emailed to info@mayanotisrael.com and received by the MAYANOT office before the above deadlines. Cancelations via phone or left on voicemail are not accepted. Cancellations received by our office after the deadline will result in forfeiture of your deposit. If you then want to apply for another trip either in the same season or a future season, you will need to pay another deposit in order to be considered.
